Subject:- Filling up of ten posts of Quarantine Inspector (Group `B') in Pay Band-2 Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs.4200/- in the Animal Quarantine and Certification Services, under the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries by deputation (including short term contract) basis - regarding.
Sir,
The undersigned is directed to state that it is proposed to fill up ten posts of Quarantine Inspector, General Central Service Group "B" Non-Gazetted in Pay Band-2 Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay Rs.4200/- at Animal Quarantine and Certification Services at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries, by deputation (including short term contact) basis. The field of selection and the educational
qualification for the post are as under :
Deputation (including short term contract): Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Indian Council of Agricultural Research or recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi Government or Autonomous or Statutory Organizations:-
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or(ii) with six years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Pay Band-1, Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2800/- or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or(iii) with ten years' service in the grade rendered ater appointment thereto on regular basis in Pay Band-1, Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2400/- or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; and
(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience :
Educational Qualifications : Essential :
(i). Bachelor of Science with Zoology or Microbiology as one of the essential subjects from a recognized University or Institution.
(ii). Two years' experience of conducting research or experiments or measurement in a veterinary laboratory of Central or State Government or any University or Indian Council of Agricultural Research or of any autonomous body.
Desirable :
M.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized University or Institute.
2. The pay of the officers selected for appointment will be regulated in accordance with the
instructions contained in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) O.M. No.15(7)/10/86 dated 13th March, 1987 or such general/special orders issued or that may be issued by the Ministry from time to time. The officer selected will have the option to draw his grade pay plus deputation (Duty) allowance or to have his pay fixed in the Pay Band and Grade Pay of the post in accordance with the DOPT OM NO. 2/12/87 Estt.(Pay-II) dated 29-1-88 as amended from time to time.
3. Application in duplicate, in the enclosed proforma along with the complete up-to-date ACR dossier of officers who are willing to be considered and can be spared, in the event of their selection, may be sent to this Department. While forwarding applications, it may be verified and certified that particulars furnished by the candidates are correct and that no vigilance case is either pending or contemplated against them and their integrity is beyond doubt. Applications should reach this Department within 60 days from the date of publication of advertisement in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. Applications received ater the due date or found incomplete will not be considered.
