Educational qualification: General:- A pass in PreDegree or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks or B grade in science subjects. S.S.L.C or equivalent for Exservicemen who have passed Class I Blood Transfusion Assistant Test and have put in not less than 15 years service in the Armed Forces. Technical:- A pass in one year Medical Laboratory Technician Diploma Course conducted by the Medical Colleges, in Kerala and by the Public Health Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram or any qualification equivalent thereto. Note:- i) Relaxation of 10% of marks for PreDegree will be allowed to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and 5% marks to candidates belonging to other backward classes
ii) KS&SSR Part II Rule 10(a)(ii)is applicable for selection to the Post.
iii) Candidates claiming equivalent qualification should produce relevant Government Orders during verification to prove that the qualification claimed is equivalent to the prescribed qualification for the post.
Age Limit: 1836. Only candidates born between 2.1.1983 and 1.1.2001 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes and other backward communities.

How to Apply: Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their UserID and password. Candidates must click on the Apply Now button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be taken after 31.12.2010. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of taking the photograph. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates shall take a printout of the application by clicking the link Registration Card in their profile. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the UserID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. The application will be summarily rejected if noncompliance with the notification is found in due course of processing.
