UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2018 for Advt. no-04/2018-CSP

ADDENDUM to NOTICE No. 04/2018-CSP dated 7.02.2018

The Government [Department of Personnel and Training] has decided to insert Rule 6(b)(vii) and amend Note-I and Note-III of Rule 6 of the Rules of Civil Services Examination, 2018 by extending the age relaxation to the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st day of January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989 vide
their Gazette Notifications No.13018/10/2017-AIS(I) dated 9th February, 2018 and 13th February, 2018.

2. In view of above, the Commission has decided to incorporate following additions in [3. Eligibility Conditions (ii) Age-Limits] its Notice No. 4/2018-CSP of Civil Services Examination, 2018 published on 7th February, 2018:-

1. Age – Limit: Para 3(ii)(b)(vii) may be read as given below in addition to the provisions made in the Age-Limit in Notice No. 4/2018-CSP of Civil Services Examination, 2018. 

(vii) up to a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st day of January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989.

2. Note - I of 3(ii)(b)(vii) may be read as given below in place of the Note - I of 3(ii)(b) of the Age-Limit in Notice No. 4/2018-CSP of Civil Services Examination, 2018.

Note I:—Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes who are also covered under any other clauses of Rule 6(b) above, viz. those coming under the category of Exservicemen, persons domiciled in the State of J & K , (a) blindness and low vision; (b) deaf and hard of hearing; (c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; and (e) multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness etc. will be eligible for grant of cumulative age-relaxation under both the categories.
